We encourage all of our members and friends to stay safe and healthy. Please wear your masks and wash your hands. Always maintain the respect and dignity of all community members by stressing the importance of safety. We will get through this together. The PBAH are here to give whatever guidance and support we can to one another. Out of the safety and concern of our members, friends and family, we have tempered our events to reflect these extraordinary times.
Did you know that persons from different regions in the world actually have different blood types? We have identified that there are shortages of blood products and there is a genuine need for persons of the Pakistani diaspora to donate blood, so that it is there when you need it. We are working this out.
Pakistani Canadians are known to be hard-working, proud, and generous people. We do not take handouts - but we extend our hands out to others. Another PBAH PIP is to show this cultural paradigm and to extend our assistance to our various partner communities to help. No one should be hungry. Sharing is Caring. Stay tuned!
The PBAH proudly acknowledges that the Prophet Muhammad [may Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon him and his family] was sent as a timeless Mercy for all. Historians of all stripes have recognized Prophet Muhammad's (pbuh) crucial positive impact on the development and progress of humanity. Humanity learns and benefits from modelling those who are the best of us. Thus, an event to commemorate and celebrate the best of creation is clear. While Covid has made a physical congregation unlikely, technology, an open mind and unending love and spirit will help us find a way. Stay tuned!
The PBAH recognizes that while our cultural heritage is Pakistan, our home is Canada. And we are absolutely proud of this fact. Our logo reflects this - we are proud Canadians, and are ambassadors of Pakistan's rich culture and values. There is no PBAH without a Canada Day celebration. Stay tuned!
August 14th is a day that has come to be synonymous with the Pakistani diaspora as a day a nation was born. A day when cultural, religious and language identities came under the umbrella of a nation based on Pak ("pure", "clean") values. The Canadian mosaic paradigm celebrates diversity for bringing the best of different cultures into the Canadian landscape, where a new set of national values is shaped. For this reason, celebration of Pakistan Day is an essential event for PBAH. Stay tuned!
Subject to Covid restrictions, we think having a collective sit down where we can contemplate on the gifts and opportunities of a new year is called for. Stay tuned!
